I had a 1 TB version of this drive fail back in 2022, and it has made me wary of Sandisk since (also returned to Amazon with no problems). But I don't buy any of your excuses for not backing up. If you don't backup and you lose your data, you have only yourself to blame.

Realistically I wouldn't be trying to do any work laptop related activity on a flight. Rather relax read a book or sleep just enjoy the ride simple, let's not complicate things because of UA-cam influencer.

If you got all your data back with a software based recovery utility, your SSD never failed. It is possible the OS simply did not see the files, because either the file format was different, because you did not use disk management to allow the OS to detect the files, or because there was a problem with your computer's USB connection. Anecdotal accounts of portable SSD are very unreliable, because people often use external SSD to try to transfer files from one PC to another, and many issues they encounter will simply be caused by software or user errors during that process. Many of these "external SSD" are simply internal SSD with a USB enclosure, in theory these should have similar review scores, but they don't, that's not the fault of the SSD.

Would love a video on using a mirrorless as a solo creator to film yourself. No shot variety and angles like everyone says, but more so how to use full manual and/or what mode (aperture priority?) when you need to get the shot dialed in without the subject, since you’re the subject. Like how do I make sure I’ll be in focus, in frame, not over or under exposed, if I’m behind the camera setting it for a tripod then hit record and run in front of the camera for my shot?
